Dry Needling
Dry needling can provide a quick release of stubborn muscle “knots” and tightness. Treatment is focused to 1-2 muscle groups.
Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is rooted in Western anatomical principles. It is a modern, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain in musculoskeletal conditions affecting many areas of the body.
Some common conditions that respond well are:
- Neck pain
- Shoulder pain and tightness
- Tennis/golfer’s elbow
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Headaches
- Knee pain
- Shin splints
- Hamstring tightness
- Sciatica
- Low back pain
- Ankle pain
These listed are only a few conditions that can benefit from dry needling. There are so many more!
Please note: In California, only a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) can practice dry needling. Dr. Vanessa is licensed and would be happy to help you. Request an appointment today!
